Cause:

Bore wear at the "E" latch valve allows pressure escape that causes drivability problems.

Correction:

Stop pressure loss and restore normal clutch action by reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax oversized "E" latch valve kit.

The ZF6HP26 "E" latch valve provides solenoid feedback pressure to the "E" clutch control valve, balancing the control valve to assist with apply and release of the "E" clutch pack. Excess wear at this bore allows crucial fluid to escape the circuit. This can cause 3-4 timing problems, a burnt "E" clutch, ratio and solenoid codes, or loss of 4-5-6. Reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax oversized "E" latch valve kit 95740-80K eliminates bore wear and stops leakage for renewed clutch operation.
