Bore wear at the main relay valve causes valve hangup.

Correction:

Eliminate the wear that allows pressure escape and causes valve sticking by reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax oversized main relay valve kit.

Listed Aisin AW 6-speed units utilize a main relay and shuttle valve combination as a switch for 4th, 5th and 6th gear. As this bore wears vital control pressure escapes the circuit. This leads to valve sticking which results in loss of 4th, 5th and 6th Gear operation as well as possible gear ratio and solenoid codes. Reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax oversized main relay valve kit 15741-70K eliminates these issues and restores normal shift operation.
